Synapse Games Studio was born from a simple but powerful idea: to create something better.

Between us, we bring over 20 years of experience working in SEND schools, supporting children and young people through IT, accessibility, and the ever-changing world of technology. We also have more than 20 years of experience in teaching and leadership within SEND education, giving us a deep understanding of the real challenges, barriers, and opportunities that exist for neurodivergent children, young people, and their families.

This is not just professional for us — it is personal too.

We are neurodiverse ourselves, and so are our children. That lived experience shapes everything we believe about inclusion, access, creativity, and belonging. Over the years, we have seen first-hand that too much of what is currently available does not truly meet the needs of the people it is meant to support. Synapse Games Studio is our way of trying to change that.

We want to build a creative studio that develops meaningful, engaging, and inclusive experiences, shaped by both professional expertise and lived understanding. Our aim is to create a space where games, technology, and community come together in a way that feels welcoming, accessible, and genuinely useful.

We are currently looking for a site to establish our studio and begin bringing this vision to life. At this stage, we would really love to hear from people who are interested in the project, would like to know more, or may want to support us as we grow.
